Amish Economy Desk

The Amish Economy Desk proves that affordable office furniture does not have to mean particleboard and compromise. Part of the Economy Collection, this compact single-pedestal desk pairs real solid hardwood with an accessible price, a smart anchor for a home office or a student study space. (shown with Amish Economy Hutch - Sold Separately)

Dimensions

  • 40" W × 19" D × 30" H

Standard Features

  • Solid hardwood single-pedestal desk with beveled drawer fronts, a beveled top, and curved gables
  • Pull-out keyboard tray and pencil tray combo
  • Pedestal with two storage drawers and one file drawer
  • Open bookshelf in the kneehole
  • Dovetailed drawers on heavy-duty full-extension slides
  • Solid wood shelving
  • Three-step finishing process
  • Brushed nickel hardware
  • Optional matching Amish Economy Hutch available separately
Shown in Oak with an Acres stain and brushed nickel hardware.

Design & Character

Economy Collection
The Economy Collection earns its keep with thoughtful detail rather than flash. Beveled drawer fronts and a beveled top catch the light, while gently curved gables soften the lines and lift the whole piece above typical value furniture. At 40 inches wide, the desk works as a tidy laptop station, with a pull-out keyboard and pencil tray that keeps the surface clear and a kneehole bookshelf that puts references within reach. The single pedestal holds two storage drawers and a file drawer, so a full workspace fits into a small footprint without giving up the warmth of genuine wood that reads as quality the moment you sit down.

Craftsmanship

Amish craftsman building solid hardwood office furniture at A&L Furniture in Ohio Every Economy piece is benchmade by Amish craftsmen in Fredericksburg, Ohio, where A&L Furniture has built solid hardwood office furniture since 1996. The work happens on-site from rough lumber to final coat, which is how the shop keeps both its quality and its prices in hand. Dovetailed drawers ride on heavy-duty full-extension slides that pull all the way out, so nothing gets lost at the back. A three-step finishing process, applied by hand, brings out the grain and seals each surface against years of daily use. It is the kind of build that answers for itself and holds up to real work.

Heirloom Quality

Solid hardwood Amish office furniture handcrafted by A&L Furniture Built to last, the Economy Desk is solid hardwood through and through, with no veneer or particleboard hiding under the finish. Solid wood shelving holds books and binders for years without sagging or bowing, and the same full-extension, dovetailed drawers that make daily work easy are the kind of joinery meant to outlast their first owner. Choose from a deep menu of species and stains so the piece matches the room it lands in. Order it your way and Millwest delivers your finished desk straight to your door with nationwide delivery across the continental US, putting heirloom solid wood within reach.

Amish Economy Hutch

The Amish Economy Hutch turns the Economy desk into a full workstation, adding display and reference storage right where you work. Built from solid hardwood to match the rest of the Economy Collection, built to perfectly complement the Amish Economy Desk, desk sold separately.

Dimensions

  • 38" W × 12½" D × 31" H

Standard Features

  • Solid hardwood hutch with beveled accents and curved gables
  • Sliding bookend that keeps books and binders neat and upright
  • One adjustable shelf
  • Designed to sit on the Amish Economy Desk, sold separately
Shown in Oak with an Acres stain.

Design & Character

Economy Collection

The Economy Collection earns its keep with thoughtful detail rather than flash, and the hutch carries that same character up off the desktop. Beveled accents and gently curved gables tie it visually to the desk below, while a sliding bookend keeps reference books and binders upright and tidy instead of toppling across the shelf. One adjustable shelf lets you set the spacing for tall binders or short paperbacks, and the open design keeps everything you reach for most at eye level. It is a simple, honest way to double a desk's usable storage without crowding the work surface, all in real solid wood.

Craftsmanship

The work happens on-site from rough lumber to final coat, which is how the shop keeps both its quality and its prices in hand. The shelving is solid wood rather than hollow board, so it holds a full row of books without sagging, and the sliding bookend runs smoothly along its track. A three-step finishing process, applied by hand, brings out the grain and matches the hutch to the desk it sits on. It is the kind of build that answers for itself and holds up to real work.

Heirloom Quality

Solid hardwood Amish office furniture handcrafted by A&L Furniture Built to last, the hutch is solid hardwood through and through, with no veneer or particleboard hiding under the finish. Solid wood shelving holds books and binders for years without bowing, and because it is made to order in the same species and stain as the desk, the two read as one coordinated piece rather than a mismatched add-on. Choose from a deep menu of species and stains so the set matches the room it lands in. Order it your way and Millwest delivers your finished hutch straight to your door with nationwide delivery across the continental US, putting heirloom solid wood within reach.

Amish Economy Two-Drawer File Cabinet

The Amish Economy Two-Drawer File Cabinet keeps your paperwork in order without stretching the budget. Part of the Economy Collection, it brings real solid hardwood to everyday filing, a tidy companion that tucks beside a desk or stands on its own in a home office.

Dimensions

  • 17½" W × 19" D × 30" H

Standard Features

  • Solid hardwood file cabinet with beveled drawer fronts, a beveled top, and curved gables
  • Two letter-size file drawers
  • Dovetailed drawers on heavy-duty full-extension slides
  • Brushed nickel hardware
Shown in Brown Maple with a Rich Tobacco stain and brushed nickel hardware.

Design & Character

Economy Collection

The Economy Collection earns its keep with thoughtful detail rather than flash. Beveled drawer fronts and a beveled top catch the light, while gently curved gables soften the lines and lift the piece above the metal boxes that usually handle filing. Standing a desk-height 30 inches tall, this two-drawer cabinet slides neatly beneath a work surface or sits beside it, adding letter-size storage exactly where you need it. Both drawers travel the full length of their slides, so even the folders at the very back stay within easy reach. It is honest storage in real wood, built to look at home in a working office rather than disappear into a closet.

The Amish Economy Four-Drawer File Cabinet is the workhorse of the Economy Collection, four full drawers of letter-size storage in real solid hardwood. It keeps a serious volume of paperwork organized and within reach while still reading as furniture rather than a metal box.

Dimensions

  • 17½" W × 19" D × 56" H

Standard Features

  • Solid hardwood file cabinet with beveled drawer fronts, a beveled top, and curved gables
  • Four letter-size file drawers
  • Dovetailed drawers on heavy-duty full-extension slides

Design & Character

Economy Collection

The Economy Collection earns its keep with thoughtful detail rather than flash. Beveled drawer fronts and a beveled top catch the light, while gently curved gables soften the lines and lift the piece above the metal boxes that usually handle filing. At a full 56 inches tall, this four-drawer cabinet delivers the most storage in the line, ideal for an office that lives and dies by its paperwork. Every drawer travels the full length of its slides, so the folders at the very back stay within easy reach. It is honest storage in real wood, built to look at home in a working office rather than disappear into a closet.

Amish Economy 26" Bookcase

The Amish Economy 26" Bookcase brings real solid wood storage to a clean, affordable footprint, an easy way to add shelving to a home office, a study, or any room that needs it. It is part of the Economy Collection, carrying the same beveled detailing that runs through the line.

Dimensions

  • 26" W × 13" D × 60" H

Standard Features

  • Solid hardwood bookcase with a beveled top and curved gables
  • Three adjustable shelves
  • Solid wood shelving that holds a full row of books without sagging

Shown in Brown Maple with a Coffee stain.

Design & Character

Economy Collection
The Economy Collection earns its keep with thoughtful detail rather than flash, and the bookcase shows it in the quiet touches: a beveled top edge and gently curved gables that lift it above the flat-pack shelving most offices settle for. At 26 inches wide and a full 60 inches tall, it makes real use of vertical space, holding a deep library of books, binders, and boxes without taking over the room. Three adjustable shelves let you set the spacing for tall reference volumes or short paperbacks and reset it whenever the collection changes. It is open, honest storage in real wood, built to look at home in a working office.
