Design & Character

Kapernaum Collection

The Kapernaum Collection takes its name from the German name for a town along the Sea of Galilee, and it carries a quiet, traditional dignity to match. Flared posts, curved legs, and flush inset drawers give the line a settled, classic look that lifts this cabinet above the metal boxes that usually handle filing. Standing a desk-height 30 inches tall, it slides neatly beside a work surface or stands alone in a corner, adding storage exactly where you need it. The two inset drawers sit clean and flat within the frame, matching the desks in the collection so the office reads as one coordinated set in solid wood.

Craftsmanship

Every Kapernaum piece is benchmade by Amish craftsmen in Fredericksburg, Ohio, where A&L Furniture has built solid hardwood office furniture since 1996. The work happens on-site from rough lumber to final coat. The flush inset drawers are fitted to sit clean and flat within the frame, opening and closing with an even, settled feel. A three-step finishing process, applied by hand, brings out the grain and seals every surface against years of daily filing. The flared posts and curved legs are shaped and joined to match the desks they serve. It is the kind of build meant to last a lifetime.

Heirloom Quality

Built to last a lifetime, this file cabinet is solid hardwood through and through, with no veneer or particleboard hiding under the finish. The inset drawers ride within a frame joined to outlast their first owner, built to carry a load of files year after year. Because it is made to order in the same species and stain as your desk, the two read as one coordinated set. Choose from a deep menu of species and stains so the cabinet matches the room it lands in. Order it your way and Millwest delivers your finished cabinet straight to your door with nationwide delivery across the continental US.
