Design & Character

Kapernaum Collection

The Kapernaum Collection takes its name from the German name for a town along the Sea of Galilee, and it carries a quiet, traditional dignity to match. Flared posts, curved legs, and flush inset drawers give the line a settled, classic look that holds its own in a smaller room. This single pedestal layout keeps the desk trim while delivering a column of inset drawers on one side and an open kneehole on the other. A lap drawer hides a keyboard tray and pencil drawer combo that pulls out for typing and slides away. It is a compact desk bringing real solid wood to a workspace where every inch counts.

Craftsmanship

Every Kapernaum piece is benchmade by Amish craftsmen in Fredericksburg, Ohio, where A&L Furniture has built solid hardwood office furniture since 1996. The work happens on-site from rough lumber to final coat. The flush inset drawers are fitted to sit clean and flat within the frame, and the keyboard pullout glides smoothly along its track. A three-step finishing process, applied by hand, brings out the grain and seals every surface against years of daily use. The flared posts and curved legs are shaped and joined to stand square through real work. It is the kind of build meant to last a lifetime.

Heirloom Quality

Built to last a lifetime, this desk is solid hardwood through and through, with no veneer or particleboard hiding under the finish. The inset drawers ride within a frame joined to outlast their first owner, and the work surface is built to carry a monitor, a laptop, and the daily load of a busy desk without bowing. Choose from a deep menu of species and stains so the desk matches the room it lands in. Order it your way and Millwest delivers your finished desk straight to your door with nationwide delivery across the continental US, putting heirloom solid wood within reach.
