Design & Character

Laurel Collection

The Laurel Collection was created as an upscale line, and this bookcase shows it from floor to crown. Arch raised-panel doors give the cabinet a graceful shape that lifts it above flat-pack shelving, while rope moulding and an intricate crown trace the top edge. Standing a full 72 inches tall, it makes serious use of vertical space, closing books and supplies behind doors that match the line. It is enclosed storage in solid wood, built to look at home in a formal office and to read as one coordinated piece with the rest of a matching Laurel office suite, from desks to file cabinets.

Craftsmanship

Every Laurel piece is benchmade by Amish craftsmen in Fredericksburg, Ohio, where A&L Furniture has built solid hardwood office furniture since 1996. The work happens on-site from rough lumber to final coat, keeping its standard steady across this formal line. The arch raised-panel doors, the rope moulding, and that intricate crown are cut and fitted by hand, the kind of detail that separates a real hardwood cabinet from a printed-on imitation. A three-step finishing process, applied by hand, brings out the grain and seals every surface against years of daily use. It is the kind of build that answers for itself and holds up to real work.

Heirloom Quality

Built to last, this bookcase is solid hardwood through and through, with no veneer or particleboard hiding under the finish. The raised-panel doors, the moulded crown, and the tall solid-wood case are the kind of construction meant to outlast their first owner and keep looking the part across decades of use. Choose from a deep menu of species and stains so the bookcase matches the desk it stands beside and the room it lands in. Order it your way and Millwest delivers your finished bookcase straight to your door with nationwide delivery across the continental US, putting heirloom solid wood within reach.
