Design & Character

Mission Collection

Mission design favors honest lines over ornament, and the hutch carries that character up off the work surface. Inset panel doors add quiet shadow and tuck reference materials out of sight, black Mission hardware reads as a graphic accent, and an arched cut-out base ties it visually to the desk it sits on. Sized for the fifty-two-inch single-pedestal desk, it stacks vertical storage where floor space is tight, keeping the things you reach for most near at hand and at eye level. It is a simple, honest way to nearly double a desk usable storage without crowding the work surface, all in genuine solid wood that matches the Mission line.

Craftsmanship

Every Mission piece is benchmade by Amish craftsmen in Fredericksburg, Ohio, where A&L Furniture has built solid hardwood office furniture since 1996. The work happens on-site from rough lumber to final coat. The inset panel doors are cut and fitted by hand, and the shelving is genuine solid wood rather than hollow board, so it holds a full row of books without sagging. A three-step finishing process, applied by hand, brings out the grain and matches the hutch to the desk it sits on. It is the kind of build that answers for itself and holds up to real work.

Heirloom Quality

Built to last, the hutch is solid hardwood through and through, with no veneer or particleboard hiding under the finish. Solid wood shelving holds books and binders for years without bowing, and because it is made to order in the same species and stain as the desk, the two read as one coordinated piece rather than a mismatched add-on. Choose from a deep menu of species and stains so the set matches the room it lands in. Order it your way and Millwest delivers your finished hutch straight to your door with nationwide delivery across the continental US, putting heirloom solid wood within reach.
