Design & Character

Hudson Collection

The Hudson Collection is built around one clean, confident idea: a classic double pedestal desk done in honest solid hardwood. Two full pedestals flank an open kneehole, giving the desk the balanced, grounded proportions that have defined the form for generations. Because the back is finished, this desk does not need to live against a wall; it can float in the middle of a room or face a doorway and still look complete from every angle. The 62 inch width offers a broad, uncluttered work surface in warm Oak, a piece equally at home anchoring a study, a private office, or a work-from-home setup that needs to look the part.

Craftsmanship

Every Hudson piece is benchmade by Amish craftsmen in Fredericksburg, Ohio, where A&L Furniture has built solid hardwood office furniture since 1996. The work happens on-site from rough lumber to final coat, which keeps quality in hand. The finished back is a tell of that care; rather than leaving the rear in raw board, the craftsmen carry the same grain and color all the way around so the desk reads as furniture from any side. A three-step finishing process, applied by hand, brings out the Oak grain and seals every surface against years of use. It is the kind of build that answers for itself.

Heirloom Quality

Built to last, this double pedestal desk is solid hardwood through and through, with no veneer or particleboard hiding under the finish. A desk this size takes a lifetime of elbows, stacks of books, and daily wear, and solid wood lets it absorb that handling and stay sound for decades. The finished back keeps its looks even when the room is rearranged around it. Choose from a deep menu of species and stains so the piece matches the room it lands in. Order it your way and Millwest delivers your finished desk to your door with nationwide delivery across the continental US, putting heirloom solid wood within reach.
