Design & Character

Kapernaum Collection

The Kapernaum Collection takes its name from the German name for a town along the Sea of Galilee, and it carries a quiet, traditional dignity to match. Flared posts, curved legs, and flush inset drawers give the line a settled look, and this taller top rises off the desktop. At a full 30 inches high, it offers more vertical storage than the shorter version, sized to crown the matching double pedestal desk. The open design keeps books, binders, and references at eye level and within reach while the surface stays clear. It is a clean way to add a real wall of storage to a workstation in solid wood.

Craftsmanship

Every Kapernaum piece is benchmade by Amish craftsmen in Fredericksburg, Ohio, where A&L Furniture has built solid hardwood office furniture since 1996. The work happens on-site from rough lumber to final coat. The taller frame is joined to stand square and steady across its full 30 inch height. A three-step finishing process, applied by hand, brings out the grain and seals every surface against years of daily use. The flared posts and curved lines are shaped to read as one with the desk below, so the top and base look like a single piece. It is the kind of build meant to last a lifetime.

Heirloom Quality

Built to last a lifetime, this taller hutch top is solid hardwood through and through, with no veneer or particleboard hiding under the finish. The solid shelving carries a full load of books and binders across its width without bowing, year after year. Because it is made to order in the same species and stain as your desk, the two read as one coordinated set rather than a mismatched add-on. Choose from a deep menu of species and stains so the piece matches the room it lands in. Order it your way and Millwest delivers your finished hutch top straight to your door with nationwide delivery across the continental US.
