Design & Character

Kapernaum Collection

The Kapernaum Collection takes its name from the German name for a town along the Sea of Galilee, and it carries a quiet, traditional dignity to match. Flared posts, curved legs, and flush inset drawers give the line a settled look, and this wide, tall top rises off the corner workstation. At 72 inches across and a full 30 inches high, it delivers the most storage of any top in the collection, sized to crown the corner desk. The open design keeps books, binders, and references at eye level while the broad surfaces stay clear for work. It is a commanding finish to a corner office in solid wood.

Craftsmanship

Every Kapernaum piece is benchmade by Amish craftsmen in Fredericksburg, Ohio, where A&L Furniture has built solid hardwood office furniture since 1996. The work happens on-site from rough lumber to final coat. The wide, tall frame is joined to stand square and steady across its full span. A three-step finishing process, applied by hand, brings out the grain and seals every surface against years of daily use. The flared posts and curved lines are shaped to read as one with the corner desk below, so the top and base look like a single piece. It is the kind of build meant to last a lifetime.

Heirloom Quality

Built to last a lifetime, this wide hutch top is solid hardwood through and through, with no veneer or particleboard hiding under the finish. The solid shelving carries a heavy load of books and binders across its full width without bowing, year after year. Because it is made to order in the same species and stain as your corner desk, the two read as one coordinated set. Choose from a deep menu of species and stains so the piece matches the room it lands in. Order it your way and Millwest delivers your finished hutch top with nationwide delivery across the continental US.
